She probably met the dentist before she started working at the flower shop since at the end she told Seymour that she loved him on the day she started working at the flower shop but, she couldn’t date him and tell him that she loved him all because she was dating the dentist and probably if she told Seymour that she loved Seymour, the dentist would probably hurt her physically.

@wannaberocker2 Steve Martin had grey hair by the time he first became famous in the ’70s. They obviously dyed it for the movie. He was hot with dark hair though, wasn’t he?
That’s also true. Probably she wants to break up with him but, she’s scared that if she tries too, he might hurt her physically which he did in her apartment. However, once he died and was fed to the plant, Audrey was sad and was crying that he was missing since she didn’t know that he was dead and was eaten by the plant. With Audrey crying that he was missing felt like she loves him. If she doesn’t love him, I don’t know why she cried because she then had the opportunity to date Seymour.
